What each calculator does

Ontario Car Loan Calculator

Estimates the taxable vehicle amount, HST, financed amount, monthly payment and total interest on a car loan. Built for Ontario buyers comparing dealer financing offers before they sign.

Debt Payoff Calculator

Estimates how many months it takes to clear a balance at a given interest rate and monthly payment, plus the total interest paid. Useful for anyone attacking credit-card debt or a line of credit with a fixed monthly payment.

Down Payment Calculator Canada

Calculates your down payment as a percentage of the home price, the resulting mortgage amount, and how much more you need to reach common thresholds. First-time buyers use it to see exactly how far their savings go.

GST/HST Calculator Canada

Computes sales tax and the tax-inclusive total from any pre-tax amount at the rate you enter. Shoppers checking a receipt and freelancers quoting tax-extra prices both use it daily.

Hourly Wage Calculator Canada 2026

Converts an hourly wage into annual, monthly, biweekly and weekly gross income from your hours and weeks worked. Job seekers comparing hourly offers against salaried ones start here.

Lease vs Finance Calculator Canada

Compares the scheduled cash outlays of leasing versus financing a vehicle from your own payment, term, fees and residual assumptions. Car shoppers use it to see which path actually costs less over the term.

Mortgage Affordability Calculator Ontario

Produces an illustrative maximum home price from your income, debts, interest rate, amortization and down payment. Ontario house hunters use it to set a realistic budget before talking to a lender.

Ontario Mortgage Calculator

Estimates mortgage payments and total interest from price, down payment, rate and amortization. Refinance shoppers and buyers stress-test rate scenarios with it.

RRSP Calculator Canada

Estimates an illustrative RRSP deduction amount from your income and contributions. Handy at tax time when you are deciding how much to contribute before the deadline.

TFSA Calculator Canada

Estimates remaining TFSA contribution room from the room and contributions you enter. Anyone who has contributed in past years uses it to avoid an over-contribution penalty.

How to use these calculators

Start with honest inputs. A calculator can only echo the numbers you feed it, so use your actual rate, your real weekly hours and the price on the listing. Round numbers are fine for a first pass; refine them when a decision gets close.

Compare scenarios, not single answers. The real power of these tools is the second run: the same mortgage at 4.5% versus 5.5%, the same salary at 40 versus 37.5 hours. Run both, write down the difference, and the decision usually makes itself.

Remember what these are: educational estimates. They use 2026 Canadian figures and standard formulas, but they do not know about your tax credits, your lender's rules or your employer's quirks. Treat every result as a starting point, then confirm the number that matters with the CRA, your lender or your payroll department before you act on it.
